  • The pilot survey of ISSP 2024. Political Attitudes and digital societies.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the use of technology in all areas of daily life, and one of the most important changes concerns the development of robotic technologies to serve daily activities. It has been observed by scholars that the evolution of robots has brought about effects on some social issues, such as welfare policies, legislation, as well as from an ethical point of view. The aim of the paper is to study voters' political attitudes towards digital societies issues, such as the impact of digitization on communication patterns and media consumption, Civic Engagement in the Digital Age and their attitudes towards artificial intelligence (AI), using the data from the pilot survey of ISSP 2024. Relying on the data of the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) 2024 pilot data, we analyze public opinion on their behavior towards Inclusive Societies.

This paper delves into the methodology of organizing a pilot research project under the International Social Survey Program (ISSP), with a specific focus on Work Orientations. Conducted in Greece in December 2023, the pilot survey aims to explore the relation between political behavior and Greek citizens' responses to targeted questions about work orientations. These questions address topics such as attitudes toward work-life balance, work organization, and working conditions. Initially, the survey data are analyzed using the SPSS statistical software.

  • The survey of ISSP 2022. Political attitudes towards changing gender roles and family

Nowadays, the theories about gender and specifically about the development of gender identity have strongly concerned many theoreticians and researchers from various disciplines, taking into account the important role of the family, which constitutes the appropriate framework for gender development and perpetuation (Matlin, 1996). The paper intends to investigate political attitudes towards changing gender roles and family issues and their interaction with voting behavior in Greece. Moreover, relying on the data of 2022 International Social Survey (ISSP) on the Family and Changing Gender Roles, we aim to study and examine the attitudes of Greek voters on a number of related issues using Greece as a case study. The ISSP 2022 Module Questionnaire includes questions about gender ideology, marriage, alternative family forms and perception of motherhood and fatherhood. Therefore, the main goal of this paper is to evaluate and explore how the voting behavior of Greek voters influence their attitudes towards these topics using tools, such as the SPSS statistical program.

  • The survey of ISSP 2023: The impact of national identity and citizenship on political attitudes

The evolving changes due to globalization and immigration, are transforming the established ways nations define themselves and affect the traditional dynamic of societies. The study of these changes provides valuable knowledge of the impact they have on societies and citizens. To explore the importance of these issues in Greek politics and policy making, this study associates the International Social Survey Programme 2023 Module of National Identity and Citizenship on political attitudes. The International Social Survey Programme is a collaborative research programme that studies in general citizens’ beliefs and attitudes towards social issues in many countries. The 2023 Module questionnaire includes questions about democracy, immigration, globalization and citizenship. The primary question of the survey is to study the electoral and voting behaviour of Greek citizens and explore its impact on their attitudes towards these issues. At the same time, the study focuses on correlating participants’ party preferences to common attitudes related to specific political issues.
